Education Projects

Girl Child Education Projects

In 2019, Bedi Foundation signed a MOU with the Govt. of Punjab and adopted a government school (Govt. Girls Senior Secondary Smart School) in Dera Baba Nanak. The intention behind this, was to render support to the school in their educational program. Following are the projects we have implemented with them in the past till present, the details of which are mentioned in our annual newsletters

2018-2019 Projects

  • Bedi Foundation signed a MOU with the Govt. of Punjab and adopted Govt. Girls Senior Secondary Smart School in Dera Baba Nanak.
  • Sponsored a Biology, Physics and Chemistry teacher.
  • Set up an ‘E-class Room’ with a 55” TV monitor, complete computer system, video camera, microphone and speakers.
  • Started a girl child scholarship program.

2020-2021 Projects

  • Started Annual Academic Achievement Awards for meritorious students studying in this school.

2022-2023 Projects

  • Set up a fully functional computer lab.
  • Provided supplementary teaching support by sponsoring English, Math Punbabi teachers for the school.
  • Organised a mentoring program for the teachers sponsored and employed by Bedi Foundation.
  • Continued with the Annual Academic Achievement Award Ceremony for the meritorious students.
  • Gave college education scholarship to the achievers of Class 12
  • Started a ‘Salai Skill Centre’ in the school and hired a teacher to teach the students aparel desgning and stitching.
  • Started a Girl Child Empowerment Conversation series on zoom platform in 2021 and continuing till present.

This year Bedi Foundation implemented a New Project at Govt. Senior Secondary Boys School at Dera Baba Nanak. Six months back, the boys school had approached us to upgrade their present Computer Lab just as we had done for Govt. Girls Senior Secondary Smart School, DBN.
